Reincarnation On Trial

The Feeling of Having Met Before

In this article "Reincarnation On Trial" you will find 50+ points of evidence regarding the inauthenticity of the doctrine of reincarnation. In all of these let us keep in mind the advice of Bertrand Russell, that of avoiding a cultish rush to judgment:

Too often, as impetus derived from fears and base passions, people believe what they want to believe, no matter the evidence or sound reasoning. We pervert ourselves in this self-deception, the remedy for which, if we’re not careful, will be an unpleasant time of “mandated solitude and introspection.” There’s a price to pay, to our higher sleves, for the “games people play.”

Here’s one more little game.

At times in life we meet someone with whom we share an immediate affinity. We feel that somehow we’ve known this person somewhere in our past. These feelings can be very real and might point to an even more real history.

But as we attempt to make sense of this phenomenon, let us not embrace unsubstantiated theory and fairy-tale. There is no “past life” in which we formed bonds with our “new” friend,” but there is such a thing as soul affinities, soul mates, and soul-group members; for such, there is ample evidence in the afterlife testimonies.

See a discussion of this heart-to-heart connection in “The Wedding Song.”

Editor's last word:

If you meet a soul-group member while in this world, or if you’re allowed to catch a glimpse of your eternal Twin Soul, then, very likely, you will experience a sense of “I have known you before.” But reincarnation is not the explanation here.

In “Prometheus” Kairissi and Elenchus discuss how authentic love taps into the mind of God, an element of “all-pervasive reality.”

You will feel that your love for the other person has no beginning and no end. This is because it’s true. But not because you once lived in ancient Egypt together.
