Edgar Cayce (1877-1945) was an American clairvoyant known for answering questions on subjects as varied as healing, reincarnation, dreams, the afterlife, past-life, nutrition, Atlantis, and future events. He also founded the nonprofit Association for Research and Enlightenment. He is often known as "The Sleeping Prophet" -- a name given him by biographer Jess Stearn.

What happens for those who choose not to awaken?
There will always be those young spirits, new to the freedom of choice who will not make the best decisions in their constant incarnations. They become stuck in their own resistance to change and growth and become extremely fearful to that which would promote the awakening within the consciousness of their own soul. It can be traced back to the immaturity of the soul. A young and fairly awkward attempt at bringing in consciousness with "lower frequency fields."
This is part of what you define as evolution. For those of us from this side of the creative map, there simply is this uninformed grouping of random energies which seeks to display some sort of evolutionary form and development. But in reality they have repeatedly dismissed any form of training or education regarding how to grow the spirit in this human body form. Often, they have not been in form at all, and are just now seeking enough energy to gather and become a new soul.
It is rather interesting to watch from here. As your scientists can understand exploding stars and the matter that is blown everywhere, this is quite the opposite, matter that has been scattered for some time and seeks to become more but lacks that central line of consciousness and direction and feels it is entitled to be what it is without regard to any other life form.
When these untethered souls incarnate in your world, they become fodder for all that is dark and destructive. Lacking the ability to truly reason from a point of light, they wander into the holes of consciousness which promote little but destructive behaviors and patterns. There is no reasoning or opportunity for growth and the structures necessary for that type of growth in consciousness has yet to be established.
Unfortunately, this has become quite a big problem in this system. All the talk of awakening is really difficult for those who haven’t even created spiritual ears to listen.
Perhaps with this understanding there may be a renewed effort to help the consciousness of these young and undisciplined souls to become more connected to the Divine Source that you talk about. Perhaps they can be directed towards a feeling in consciousness which will build trust, respect and positive desire.
Edgar Cayce
Editor's last word:
The testimony of Cayce reveals a profound lack of understanding concerning the nature of the soul and how it develops.
There is no such thing as an immature soul, a wayward soul, an unbalanced soul, or any imperfection in the soul. The soul was created perfect, without blemish, and any defect in the person is the result of the dysfunctional ego creating the illusion of imperfection. See on the “true self” page a metaphor of the Sun always shining behind the clouds of the ego.
Cayce thinks that some need to “become a new soul.” This is not possible and does not happen. Things are so bad on planet Earth that Cayce despairs of the many finding a perfected state. He doesn't see his vaunted reincarnation as doing its job. He thinks we need to double down on our rescue efforts to help these wayward. The way he sees it there's "a big problem in this system" and it needs to be patched up.
But the plan of God has not gone off the rails. We don't need to help. The soul doesn't need saving but only a realization of what it is. Everything is exactly as it should be. If anyone chooses the untoward path, then greater suffering and disillusionment set in, and this dire strait will yet serve as catalyst to seeking for guidance from Spirit Guides. There is no need for panic here. All is well in hand.
But Cayce is one of the leaders of “the insane 500.” He’s a materialist at heart, sees “salvation” as something external to one’s being, and knows nothing of the inner riches. Cayce is revered virtually as a patron saint of the New Age movement, but, in fact, he is ignorant of natural law.
