Why Did Jesus Visit the Spirits in Prison?

I Peter 3:19 states that, after his death, Jesus visited the spirits in prison - those in Dark Detention.
This could very well be true, as this is what advanced people do on the other side. Millions of spirit-persons are engaged in what might be called rescue or "missionary" work in the Dark Realms.
It sounds like one of the first things that Spirit-Jesus might have done was to take a quick trip to try to help the seething-angry in Dark Detention.
