It is possible for a wicked person in the Dark Realms to act through an agent on the Earth, to commit evil through another. This can happen, however, only if the earthly instrument is of the same negative, vicious vibrational mindset.

Editor’s note: Criminals in the Dark Realms seek for surrogates on the Earth plane through which atrocity might be committed. Franchezzo finds such a manipulator in hell:
... all this poor spirit's thoughts should centre in the desire for vengeance, and that he should plan only how to make his enemy suffer as he had been made to suffer? Thus, then, it was he who inspired a man on earth to kill the judge; his hand guided the mortal's with so unerring an aim that the judge fell pierced to his false, cruel heart. The earthly body died but the immortal soul lived, and awakened to find itself in Hell, chained to a dungeon wall as he had chained his victim…
Editor’s note: There is no need to worry about this kind of dark agency overtaking us. If one endeavors to keep his or her spirit in a positive, giving, loving, frame of mind, the twisted spirits of darkness cannot touch us. Just as Summerland, with its higher vibrational essence, cannot be invaded by those of lower disposition, so too, positive-minded individuals, even here on the Earth, cannot be invaded.
Further, as a caution, it should be noted that if one were to become unnecessarily and substantially fearful that this could happen, this unwarranted fear itself might open one to wicked spirit influence. Fear is a negative vibrational energy and has the potential to hurt us by aligning our minds with lower spirit entities.
It might also be mentioned that there are some people, here, on the Earth, right now, who have the ability to manipulate or influence the minds of others, just as the wicked spirit of Franchezzo’s story had the ability to find one on the Earth to commit a crime. How can this occur? Again, this is not something to worry about as a positive, loving mindset cannot be invaded and assaulted - just as Franchezzo could not be assaulted by the wicked spirits among whom he freely mingled, as long as he maintained a positive mindset. This is the key here.
Nevertheless, there are people who have certain abilities in the “black arts” here on Earth, and can manipulate energies, even those of another’s mind. They hurt themselves, however, far more than any victim; and if one attacks another in this manner, one should not be surprised to find oneself in a rat cellar upon transitioning. I would say, to state the obvious, one should not want to cultivate such abilities, even if one has a natural proclivity to do so; and some do.
Moral issues come into play, such as violation of another's free will; meanaing, one's sacred essential personhood. We do not see the Spirit Guides who work in the Dark Realms attempting to manipulate or direct the wicked spirits in this manner, though they might have the ability to do so, as free will is always honored, even if, in the short term, more trouble ensues.
Let's keep in mind what the Guides are trying to accomplish in all this chaos - it is the expunging of evil from the human spirit, it is the "lust for sin, being ground out of the soul." This cannot be done directly but requires, inadvertent as it may be, the free-will participation of the wicked spirits who are provided this service.
"They'll thank us later", is the Guides' motto.
