The Crystalline-Entity Principle

Summerland cannot be invaded,
there are no raiding-gangs from Hell

Silver Birch: “You take with you [to our side of life] just that character which you have moulded by your life. Your eternal possessions are the spiritual qualities that you have evolved by your daily life. That is why the law is so fair and so just, for it provides a standard of judgment about which no reasonable man could quarrel … your associates are those of LIKE spiritual growth and LIKE spiritual mentality … [On the earth] you are apparently on the same physical plane, meeting and mingling with people who are on different mental (spiritual) planes to yourself. But in our world you are with those who are on the SAME spiritual altitude as yourself. That does not mean to say that you cannot [meet with those more advanced than oneself - but they must come to you, you cannot go to them]. Your life is lived amongst your spiritual equals, and that is determined by the law of spiritual gravitation which is infallible.”

And we will naturally seek for like-minded ones, those such as ourselves, to be our friends and neighbors - it will be impossible to do otherwise.

A selfish person with "lower vibrations" will not be able to mingle and live with those of higher, more refined, excellent and loving soul-vibrations.

Editor's note: What is the good news here? We can all change. If we find ourselves temporarily out-of-phase with someone we love, we can improve, thereby fitting ourselves to live on the other's higher level. With each selfless act and thought, we refine our natures. Also, I have read of more than one account of someone saying, "I'm qualified to live in an even nicer world, but I'm not going to do that until the one I love catches up, and then we can move on together." That would be natural. I think this happens a lot over there.

The Crystalline Entity

Here's an analogy that might help us understand the sorting-out process.

Possibly you will remember the Star Trek NG episode, Silicon Avatar, featuring "The Crystalline Entity."

A rogue scientist on the Enterprise directed a specific pulse-rate energy emmision, one of calibrated frequency and resonance, designed to be destructive to a living crystal-creature; and, like a fine hand-cut goblet disintegrating when met by a singer's voice resonating with equal frequency, the Crystalline Entity shattered into countless fragments!

What would happen if one were to try to live in an area of the afterlife that did not match one's vibrational essence? Listen to Robert Hugh Benson, from the other side, offer explanation.

Benson had asked his more-knowledgeable friend, Edwin, if he and Benson's companion, Ruth, might visit the next higher realm beyond Summerland:

"And so, we started off... we found ourselves upon grassland, but with a striking difference. The turf upon which we were walking was infinitely softer... the green of the verdure was even brighter than we had thought possible. The flowers were growing in still greater profusion, and the intensity of color, of perfume, and of health-giving power, transcended anything we had encountered. The very air seemed to be imbued with rainbow tints... there were to be seen some of the most stately and beautiful houses I have ever seen. In those houses, so our friend told us, lived wondrous souls... we were now warmed and filled with such an elation that we were almost silent in wonderment... We walked a little way forward, but we could proceed no farther. There were no visible barriers, but we felt that we could not breathe if we went onward. The whole atmosphere was becoming so much the more rarified the farther we penetrated, that in the end we were bound to retrace our steps on to our own ground."

Notice the points of similarity to the shattering-crystal analogy. While, in a larger sense, Benson and Ruth are immortals and cannot be destroyed, the sense of dissonance caused by discordant higher frequencies made them feel as if they could not breathe! Had they insisted on moving forward, they might have experienced a most painful internal disharmony, not unlike a threat of shattering.

And this is why Summerland cannot be invaded by those living on a lower-level.

Editor's last word:

What would it be like to live in a world in which there were no threats of invasion or oppression of any kind?

Jesus spoke of the "wheat and the tares." In our world, wheat plants must compete with the weeds, jostling alongside, blade to blade. But a new world is coming wherein the "wheat" and "weeds" will be permanently separated.
